For Dr. Delene Musielak, MD, FACP, FAAP, ABOM her journey began in her home country, Guyana, South America, where she was born and raised. Dr. Musielak grew up in a Christian home with parents who are both Pastors. Her parents have played a vital role in her upbringing as a persistent, independent and strong woman. At the age of six, she migrated with her family to the United States.
Musielak grew up in church, but had her own personal encounter with Christ at the age of twelve. “Being a Pastor’s Kid (PK) can be tricky. People are always watching you. Ironically, when people find out you are a PK, they assume you are bad. That’s not always the case. I’m not being partial, but I think my parents did a great job with my sister and me.”
From a very young age, she told her parents that she wanted to be a doctor. That is the exact road she pursued. After obtaining her medical degree, she not only went on to train in one speciality, but two. Dr. Musielak is triple-boarded in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics & Obesity Medicine. She cares for the whole gamut. Or, as she says, “From the cradle to the grave.”
